  They were not able to find what I needed and didn't understand what a pendant conversion kit is. Home Depot helped me in less than 60 seconds.

  I had a great customer service experience at Waterloo Home Hardware today! I started out at Lowe's which had horrible customer service. I was so disgusted with the lack of knowledge & willingness to help that I pulled out my phone and called Home Hardware. I had a stain that the company changed the formula to and was no longer a match. Unfortunately I had just stained half my deck with the old formula. You can imagine my delima!! The girl on the phone in the paint department of HH told me to come by with my can and she would help me color match as best she could. She took time and pulled swatches and we were able to decide on 2 that could be blended & tweeked to match my current color. She nailed it, I went home to do a test patch & it's pretty much a perfect match. Thrilled with her patience, knowledge and willingness to help to the extent she did. Thank you girl in the paint department, I never got her name. Her customer service was excellent!! Will return to this location for all my paint needs in the future=)

  Great place to go if you like being ignored. I walked up the main isle between two employees who acted as if I didn't exist. I'd understand if they were on break or attending to another customer but they were just walking up front to greet the "chosen customers". I'm a big supporter of small stores in town but off to the big box store I went.

  When you need home related items, you have 4 options (I have minimal experience with Rona). Walmart is no hassle low price. Canadian Tire is no hassle. Home Depot is welcoming and do anything they can to find you a solution. Home Hardware will ensure you feel unwelcome and tell you why you cannot do what you want. This location continues the proud tradition.
