Desk staff were very welcoming and friendly, and responded efficiently to my request for help.

The 6th and 3rd floor desks are the best. If you don't find a seat on the bottom floors, the top most floors usually always have desks.

After flying fire fighting in Kuwait in 1991, I somehow ended up on the UW campus, with no memory for why and the reason was probably related to my work in Kuwait, and I ended up being guided to apply for a job the library by circumstances that were possibly artificial. i did work there for a year or two, and thought I loved it at the time except there were strange problems that I now believe had to do with predators that I was unaware of at the time, some of whom seemed to have jobs on the campus. I was not often treated fairly and this was systematic. I was pushed out of my job by extreme sexual harassment and I have not ever been apologized to nor compensated for this. I was deprived of all benefit and I strongly suspect that I was lied to about benefits as part of a systematic sexual diss that was totally unfair to me.
