  Words Worth Books is my ideal of a great independent book shop. It has continued to thrive in the age of the Internet and Big Box competitors. It has a great staff , a diverse stock, interesting events where writers read from their works and take questions from fans, and active social media channels. I order most of my books through the shop's Facebook Page. They hold the orders until I can come into the store. I have been buying books there for 17 years. The current owners, Dave and Mandy, worked at Words Worth Books for years before buying it from the founders. When the shop had to move several years ago, regular customers showed up in droves to help and moved the entire store before lunch. This shop is loved by the community.

  Great independent bookshop with a reading nook in the children's section. Sections featuring feminist books for kids, aboriginal authours, and political subjects make this a great stop for the liberal parent hoping to raise conscious informed children.

  One of the best new book stores around. It's the kind of place I tell visitors to the area. about. It's thoughtfully curated, with excellent recommendations, a great selection, and always-helpful staff. Plus they're right on the LRT line (like in-front-of-the-entrance close - if you live here, you know what this past while has been like for every business along that stretch), so spend a few bucks there and give them some $ love. Keep KW literate!

  A true gem in KW. A beautiful shop with lovely books and helpful staff. They will gladly order books in for you if they don't have them in stock. Great for gifts!
